The Capitol Hill Internship Program

Location: Washington, D.C.


Pfeiffer University is a member of the United Methodist College Washington Consortium, which offers students the experience of living, interning and studying in the heart of Washington, D.C. Students participating in the Capitol Hill Internship Program  live in attractive apartments on Capitol Hill, intern in government and non-governmental offices as part of select programs available only in Washington, D.C. and learn in challenging seminars and courses that are tailored to enrich their internship experience.

To apply, you must be a sophomore, junior or senior in good academic standing.

Internship: Data Fellow for Enroll America

Enroll America is a non-partisan organization aimed at identifying uninsured Americans and providing them with the information to enroll in healthcare under the Affordable Care Act. Kelly will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data in addition to raising awareness of enrollment options among the uninsured and to broaden the range of channels through which uninsured individuals can enroll.

Internship: Congressional Intern for Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy
As an intern, Hayden will be responsible for drafting correspondence to constituents, assisting with research projects and press outreach, leading tours of the U.S. Capitol building, and some administrative work. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend briefings, hearings and other events on Capitol Hill.
