Quinton has worked for 10 years as an experiential educator following his passion for outdoor adventure and challenge course to provide educational experiences for all types of students. After graduating from Presbyterian College with a BS in Business Administration, Quinton found himself wanting to develop students. He started his career at Wofford College as Assistant Director of Student Activities and Resident Director. While at Wofford, he earned his Master of Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Development from the University of South Carolina. Since then, he has worked for several colleges and universities in a variety of positions, always helping students develop from each experience. He has lead experiences as far north as British Columbia (backcountry skiing) and as far south as Florida (canoeing the Suwanee River). He has led both horizontal and vertical caving experiences in Virginia and Tennessee, rock climbing in North Carolina, and white water rafting experiences in western North Carolina. In October 2010, he co-led with a 24 mile 4 day backpacking experience in the Salmo Priest Wilderness. Quinton has facilitated personal and team development and leadership development experiences for a variety of groups including Greensboro Police, Presbyterian College Women’s Volleyball, Wake Forest MBA students, Wake Forest Physician Assistant students, Pfeiffer University improvisation class, BB&T Leadership Development Program, Wachovia local branches, Pfeiffer Journey Classes, Pfeiffer Women’s Volleyball and Basketball teams and Premiere Inc. Through his love for adventure and his curiosity to know what happened, he facilitates learning from each experience. When not leading experiences you will most likely find him planning his next adventure or enjoying the outdoors with Mary, his wife, and two Alaskan Malamutes. |

Chelsi Haefele |
My name is Chelsi Haefele. I grew up in Topeka, Kansas. I am currently a senior at Pfeiffer University pursuing an accounting degree. I have been involved in a variety of sports and outdoor activities since youth, therefore the department of Campus Recreation is a perfect fit. Being blessed with the opportunity to be the captain of the Pfeiffer University women's tennis team for the past two seasons, I can carry my experiences into the Campus Recreation Department. Sports and outdoor activities are my passion. Campus Recreation has given me great leadership skills, that I will continue to apply in a various areas of my life. One of my favorite quotes by Vince Lombardi is, "Leaders aren't born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal." |

I am a junior at Pfeiffer, pursuing a degree in elementary education and a minor in history. I had the opportunity to be a part of the women’s soccer team, and was their captain this year. Growing up I was always involved in a variety of different sports and in high school, where I played basketball and soccer. Sports have always been a passion of mine, which is why campus recreation is a great fit for me. Having the opportunity to impact lives with sports and outdoor activity inspires me. This is a great job because I get to be a part of something I love! Being a part of Campus Recreation allows me to be a leader and share my own experiences with others. I will use the skills I have learned from Campus Recreation in everyday life and carry with me in the work field. |
