Residential living-learning communities are a link between residence life, academics and community service where students with similar interests can learn from each other and participate in similar experiences and classes.

Why are LLCs important at Pfeiffer?

  • Students in LLCs are more likely to be happy at their university.
  • Students in LLCs have 3-12% higher persistence rates.
  • Students in LLCs are more likely than others to graduate in 2-6 years.
  • Students in LLCs have a cumulative GPA that is .4 higher than others.
  • Students in LLCs score higher on professional school entrance exams.

  • Partnership between Residence Life, Center for Outdoor Leadership, and academics
  • Application process to select students for the community
  • Activities planned for QUEST:
    • Shared Pfeiffer Journey class with other Quest residents
    • Weekend retreat and activities with the Center for Outdoor Leadership
    • Service project each semester
    • Extra programming, activities and events
  • Please note that students choosing to live in this LLC will reside on a co-ed hallway.

  • A community for first-year students majoring in pre-health professions, nursing and exercise science
  • Partnership between Residence Life and academics
  • Experiences and programming directly related to pre-health and servant leadership
  • Application process to select students for the community
  • Activities planned for PATHways: 
    • Shared Pfeiffer Journey class with other PATHway residents
    • Off-campus experiences to help build relationships
    • Health-related service project each semester
    • Monthly dinner dialogues with local health professionals
    • Study groups and tutoring sessions in the residence halls
    • Extra programming, activities and events

Faith in Action | Download Application

  • A community for first-year students with a passion for servant leadership and spiritual exploration.
  • Partnership between Residence Life, The Village Church, and The Francis Center
  • Application process to select students for the community
  • Activities planned for Faith in Action
    • Shared academic courses with other Faith In Action residents
    • Off-campus experiences to help build relationships
    • Service projects on and off campus
    • Monthly dialogues about matters of spirituality and service
  • Please note that students choosing to live in this LLC will reside on a co-ed hallway.

 Honors Residential College

  • A community of Undergraduate Honors Program scholars who challenge themselves in and out of the classroom through independent research designed in close collaboration with top undergraduate faculty.
